It's For Freedom is a ministry that helps people experience the fullness of the freedom that Christ has claimed for us all, by means of inner healing, deliverance and spiritual direction.
“The basic idea of inner healing is this: Jesus, who is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8) can take the memories of the past and heal them from the wounds that still remain and effect our present lives. Once they have been healed and drained of the poison of past hurts and resentment, Jesus can fill, with His love, all those places in us that have so long been empty. The idea behind inner healing is simply that we can ask Jesus Christ to walk back to the time we were hurt and to free us from the effect of that wound in the present.”
Inner healing combined with deliverance brings about a freedom that most Christians have yet to experience. Charles Kraft compares demons like that of rats to garbage. We can't just shoo away the rats and leave the garbage out. They will just return and bring some friends with them. If we take time to clean up the garbage in our lives through inner healing, the rats have nothing left to feed on. Because of this they become very weak and no longer have rights to be around and can be cast out very simply with out a dramatic fight.
In partnering with Jesus in this way we continually see Him set captives free and bring freedom to the oppressed. Jesus continues today to fulfill the promise He made in Luke 4:18-19, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."
